Several of our customers have visited the beautiful Tuscany region of Italy and returned inspired to bring a taste of Italy into their homes. From rustic charm to timeless elegance, Tuscan style kitchens reflect warmth and tradition. With elements like natural stone, rich wood finishes, and wrought iron accents, an Italian kitchen design creates a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Below are three stunning kitchens we designed, each showcasing unique Tuscan Italian kitchen décor.
Tuscan Style Kitchen Design Elements
This Tuscan-inspired kitchen blends rustic charm with refined elegance. Custom faux wood beams line the ceiling, adding warmth and architectural interest. Frameless alder wood cabinetry, painted in a cream hue with a hand-distressed finish, evokes old-world character. A white farmhouse sink by Rohl sits beneath a three-panel picture window, flooding the space with natural light and framing views of a picturesque backyard. The countertops are crafted from stunning Taj Mahal quartzite, featuring delicate taupe veining that complements the neutral palette.
A cozy
kitchen island with seating for two offers ample workspace. It is accented by old-world scrolled iron legs, matching the handcrafted iron pot rack behind the range. Oil-rubbed bronze hardware enhances the cabinetry, tying in beautifully with the kitchen’s warm tones. Above the island, two custom-finished Malplaquet pendant lights add rustic charm while providing soft illumination, creating a space where Italian elegance meets everyday functionality.
Italian Kitchen Design Ideas
For this
Italian kitchen design in Central NJ, we collaborated with our friends at Bentwood Cabinetry to create stunning frameless cabinetry. The exterior finish, skillfully distressed, mimics the timeworn charm found in traditional kitchens discovered in the Italian countryside. A custom marble hood surround spans an impressive 14 feet across the wall, creating a dramatic focal point that embodies Mediterranean elegance. Marble is a quintessential element in Italian kitchen décor, used for both functional and decorative purposes.
Above the range, we incorporated an iron pot rack, a hallmark of Tuscan-inspired kitchens. Bronze patina hardware adds warmth and complements the cabinetry beautifully. Faux wood beams line the ceiling, but unlike the rustic charm in the previous kitchen, these beams bring a more refined, contemporary aesthetic to this upscale design, blending classic Italian flair with modern sophistication.
Mediterranean Kitchen Design With Black and Blue
In this Mediterranean kitchen design, we custom crafted a stunning 6-foot by 7-foot island to serve as the focal point. We love
creating kitchen focal points that capture attention. The exterior-facing cabinetry showcases the homeowner’s elegant collection of china service ware and crystal vases. The in-cabinetry lighting brings attention to this collection. The cabinetry is finished in glossy black with a lacquered sheen which exudes elegance. A beautiful slab of Belvedere Quartzite tops the island, providing both functionality and a modern beauty. Suspended above are two Malplaquet pendant lights, painted in a bold Ultramarine blue. The black and blue combination creates an electric visual statement that energizes the entire space. Beneath it all, "Havana Sky" flooring tiles enhance the room's vibrant Mediterranean charm. This modern Italian kitchen design beautifully blends rich colors, premium materials, and thoughtful details for a truly captivating culinary space.
