Creating a Spa-Like Experience in Your Own Bathroom

Chances are you have been to a destination spa or visited those found on a cruise ship over the years. The first thing that hits me is the aromas of eucalyptus, lavender, vanilla and bergamot. Some of the colors that are common among spas are the earthy brown, soft greys and green tones and as soon as these smells and images begin stimulating my senses, my body begins to relax automatically before even meeting with the therapist who will be treating my muscles. There is no reason why we can’t try to recreate this ambiance for you at home. With a few bathroom upgrades you can consider to create a spa like experience that is both relaxing as it is luxurious. Here are some of the areas we can address.

Luxury Freestanding Bathtubs and Whirlpool Baths

This standalone bathtub screams luxurious and is typical of the tubs used for the Cleopatra treatments you standalone bathtubwould find in any 5 star spa resorts. Add some milk and mustard seed to the hot water along with the scents of eucalyptus from a diffuser and chances are good the stresses of your day will melt away in this tub. In ayurvedic medicine, mustard baths have been used for detoxification and are said to help release impurities. Milk in your bath helps leave your skin feeling soft and supple. The fat and protein in the milk provides this immediate benefit in your bathwater. The milk also helps exfoliate the skin for additional softness. The lactic acid in milk helps clean and soften the skin.

When upgrading to a freestanding bathtub, there are many options to consider that can offer both increased stress relief and a spa-like appearance. Need more, then choose a simple two-person Whirlpool bathtub, or layer on  unique features like heated bubbles, zero gravity features, chromatherapy or VibraAcoustic® technology. Check out what Kohler is doing to enhance their bath products.

Steam Shower Designs That Are Hot!

Most people use their shower more often than their bathtub, so we will invite you to consider a little steam to your designs to help you sweat off the tensions they bring home. A spacious design will allow for the best experience and glass doors offer a sophisticated look. EliteSteam & Kohler have some pretty amazing solutions that allow you to enjoy all the benefits of a relaxing steam bath in the comfort of your own home. The process of heating water through steam generators is not new but these two manufactures of steam showers have taken the science to a whole new level.

Improved circulation, improved skin care and a more relaxing night of sleep some of the results clients benefit from when they add a steamy shower to their routines. Rain showerheads are an elegant option for rinsing off after the soothing experience.

Keeping Things Green With Plants & Natural Woods

An easy way to quickly transform your bathroom into a spa is to infuse the air with spa like master bathroomsaromas normally found in a destination spa. Fortunately, you won’t have to spend much time or money to create an enticing aroma.
